Plan EV Charging With Available Electrical Capacity

EV charging equipment must be coordinated with the charger's input requirements, branch circuit, distribution equipment, and available building capacity. Compare EV charging equipment only after those electrical requirements are established. Grounding, bonding, conductor terminations, and enclosure requirements should be treated as part of the complete installation.
