Morris's 96108 is an above-ground insulation piercing connector that taps a 4/0-3 AWG main to a 2-10 AWG tap without stripping the conductors. Tin-plated copper teeth pierce the insulation inside a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic body, and the 1 double shear-head bolt(s) break off at the correct 125 in-lb torque.
Key Features
- Insulation Piercing / Displacement Technology - Eliminates Wire Stripping
- Insert the Jacketed Cable and Tighten with a 1/2" Socket
- Can Be Installed on Energized Conductors (Tap Must Not Be Under Load)
- Double Shear-Head Bolt Breaks Off at the Correct 125 in-lb Torque
- For Overhead Services, Above-Grade URD, Street Lighting, Non-Tension Tapping, and Split-Bolt Replacement
- Water-Tight When Properly Installed - Sealant Gel Protects Against Oxygen and Water
- Tin-Plated Copper Teeth, Fiber-Reinforced Thermoplastic Body, Galvanized Steel Bolt
