Function and typical applications

This Westinghouse 1‑light wall lantern is intended for exterior wall mounting where single‑fixture illumination is appropriate. It provides localized lighting for entryways, porches, garage doors, side doors and perimeter locations where dusk‑to‑dawn operation is desired.

• Entry and porch illumination
• Exterior wall and perimeter lighting
• Dusk‑to‑dawn security lighting when installed with clear sightline to daylight

Photocell control and operation

The fixture includes an integrated dusk‑to‑dawn photocell that automatically switches the light based on ambient daylight. For reliable switching, the photocell requires an unobstructed view of daylight; avoid installing it behind awnings, deep recesses, or inside enclosures that block natural light.
