Product Overview

The Morris 94741 is a long-barrel compression lug for terminating a #500 AWG fine-strand flexible cable conductor. Its 3/8-inch stud connection has a 2-hole mounting tongue.

The lug is made from seamless copper with electro-tin plating. It has a flared entry, an inspection window, and a Brown-coded die index and crimp marks printed on the barrel.

Flexible cable termination

The 94741 is intended for #500 AWG fine-strand flexible cable. Listed cable types include Class G, H, I, K, M and DLO, covering the welding, battery and DLO cable types identified for this lug.

Barrel entry and crimping

A flared, or belled, barrel entry supports insertion of fine-strand cable, while the long barrel accommodates multiple crimps. The inspection window provides a way to check conductor insertion.

• Strip the conductor to barrel depth and insert it fully through the flared entry.
• Crimp with the Brown-coded die, using the crimp marks printed on the barrel.

Mounting and listed application

The 2-hole tongue connects to a 3/8-inch stud or bolt. The lug is UL 486AB Listed for applications through 35kV.
