Machine Screws vs. Self-Tapping Fasteners

Machine screws are used with a matching threaded hole, nut, or tapped component. Self-tapping or drilling screws create or form their own engagement in an approved substrate. Do not substitute one type for another when the box, enclosure, fixture, or support system specifies a particular fastener.

Grounding Screws Are Application-Specific
